Ear Reduction Surgery (Otoplasty)

Ear Pinning is a procedure, known as otoplasty, that reduces prominent ears. There are several reasons why some ears are prominent and it is important to design a surgery that addresses the specific needs of the patient. Dr. Rodgers will conduct a full analysis and discuss his findings with you so that a treatment option can be formulated. The procedure itself is generally performed in an outpatient surgery center under local anesthesia with or without sedation. Younger patients do better under general anesthesia. Dr Rodgers performs this surgery on children as young as 5. It generally takes about an hour and a half.
