Meet April D. Haynes, CSA, LSA (Certified Surgical Assistant, Licensed Surgical Assistant)

With over a decade of experience in the operating room, I’ve dedicated myself to the art of surgical assistance since 2005. Starting as a surgical technologist, I pursued further education to become a licensed surgical assistant, earning my associate degree along the way. Now, with nearly 10 years of assisting under my belt since 2016, I’m passionate about advancing in my career and providing the best care possible.

Driven by a desire to challenge myself and excel, I found my calling in surgical assistance. The instant gratification of helping patients feel good about themselves post-surgery is incredibly rewarding. One of my favorite procedures is the Mommy Makeover, where I witness firsthand the transformation and renewed confidence it brings to many moms. As someone who has always had a nurturing instinct and a desire to make others happy, I see my role as ensuring our patients leave with smiles on their faces.

My journey into the medical field was motivated by the perfect balance it offered as a mother of three. The fast-paced nature of surgical training aligned perfectly with my lifestyle, while the wonder of surgery and the human body has kept me captivated to this day.

Outside the operating room, you’ll find me enjoying life to the fullest. Whether it’s hitting the bowling alley, exploring aquariums, or embarking on new adventures through travel, I embrace every opportunity for fun and relaxation.
