Radiant Renewal Awaits

There are many reasons breasts can sag. Breasts can be left hollow and pendulous from genetic predisposition, past pregnancies, weight fluctuations, and simple ageing. This makes it difficult to fit into bras, swimwear, and even formal clothing.

The good news is that there are many options to restore the youthful appearance of your breasts. Based on your individual needs, Dr. Rodgers can customize a surgery for you. The general rule of thumb is that, the greater the degree of ptosis (sagging), the more extensive the surgery has to be to correct the problem. Dr. Rodgers has extensive training and offers all degrees of breast lifting surgeries.

From incisions completely hidden in the pigmented skin of the nipple/areola, to vertical lifts (incision from the nipple down to the chest), to full Wise-pattern lifts (areola, vertical, and an incision under the breast), Dr. Rodgers will thoroughly review each option and what it could do for you. Dr. Rodgers has become sought-after for his technique of preserving breast volume and utilizing it to enhance the upper part of the breast…where it is always needed the most. This gives the look of, but obviates the need for prosthetics. Yes, you can practically keep your current bra size with beautifully positioned and shaped breasts! However, some patients choose to lift and be larger than they are currently. For them, each of these surgeries can also be combined with an implant to further enhance size and projection. Imagine having the breasts you have always wanted-it is possible!

About the Surgery

There is quite a bit of variability when it comes to a summary of breast lifting surgery

As mentioned above, some women need only a minimal incision around the pigmented portion of the nipple/ areola.

This takes about an hour, is done under local or general anesthesia, and has minimal recovery limitations. In honesty, most women need more to reach their goal.

A vertical lift combines the areolar incision with an incision that runs vertically (up and down) from the bottom of the areola to where the breast meets the chest. This incision generally heals very well and allows for a good degree of lift to the breast tissue.

This procedure takes about an hour and a half (2 hours when combined with an implant insertion), and also has a relatively easy recovery. The final type of lift (Wise-pattern) is the definitive option for most patients and allows Dr. Rodgers to complete reshape the breast–rearranging tissues to enhance the upper breast without a prosthetic! Operative time is approximately 2 and a half hours. Despite the longer surgery time, recovery from this surgery is similar to the vertical lift.

To summarize, women seek breast lifts for different reasons. For some, it is sagging due to genetics or age, for others a hollow upper breast, and yet others may suffer from bothersome asymmetry. The good news is that there is an option for each individual need. Call The Artisan Center, or contact us online to schedule your personal consultation.

“After living with breast implants for many years, I decided to undergo explant surgery, mastopexy (breast lift), with Dr. Bruce Rodgers. Looking back, I am incredibly grateful that I chose him as my surgeon… I am extremely happy with my results. My breasts look natural, lifted, and beautiful, and continue to improve as the swelling decreases… I highly recommend him to anyone considering explant surgery, breast lift surgery, or body contouring procedures. “As a first-time surgery patient, I was nervous, but Dr. Rodgers came highly recommended to me. He took the time to answer all of my questions pre/post surgery and made me feel completely at ease. I’m now 1 month post-op from a breast lift, and everything has been great! My recovery has been so smooth, and I’m already thrilled with my results. I couldn't recommend Dr. Rodgers and the Artisan Plastic Surgery team more!”

— M.Z., Katy, TX, Breast Lift Patient

"One of the things I appreciated most was the consultation process. Instead of being taken straight to an exam room, I was able to sit down with Dr. Rogers in his office and have a genuine conversation about the procedures I was interested in, as well as ask any questions I had. At the end of our meeting, he asked if I was still interested in moving forward, and only then did his staff bring me to an exam room. That low-pressure approach immediately put me at ease and made the entire experience feel much more comfortable."

— J.H., Katy, TX, Surgical Patient
